Gramma Snappa and Ojiisan Hyottako

Two supporting characters in my Shangri-Land universe. They act as KoiKoi's adoptive parents and advisors to the Daimyo. They are both good-hearted, comedic-type characters. 

Gramma Snappa the Kappa is based on my own late grandmother, who raised me for most of my younger years. She's a doddering, doting, hunchbacked old bitty. She loves tea above all else, clearly balancing a full platter of Japanese tea ceremony paraphernalia on her crome dome at all times. Snappa is sweet but strict with everyone. She tries to teach KoiKoi manners, but will not hesitate to lay down some discipline to those who cross her.

Ojiisan "Octo" Hyottako is partially based on my paternal grandfather. He's a wonderfully wise, but long-winded, ornery old coot. He used to be a war hero, but now balances the kingdom's records and tries to keep peace through diplomacy. He's also crazy spiritual, conducting rituals that blur the lines between Buddhism and Shinto. Kinko calls him Ojisan (uncle) and performs with the octogenarian in Noh theater fashion. This is reference to the Hyottoko mask of which his face is structured after (complementing her Okame/Otafuku face). He can blow a puff of flame from his lips once per day~
